What is IVF?
In Vitro Fertilisation or (IVF) is a procedure which an egg is fertilized by sperm outside the women's body. The process involves removing ova (eggs) from the woman's ovaries and fertilizes them in a laboratory with sperm sample. The fertilized egg is kept for 2–6 days and is then implanted in to the woman's uterus, with the intention of a successful pregnancy.
